METClean DPF Cleaner – Stage 1/2

Stage 1 of the METClean DPF Flush is a high-performance cleaner specifically formulated for use with the METClean DPF Flush Tool. It effectively removes soot and carbon build-up from the honeycomb structures of the DPF. Application

STAGE 1: Before starting, ensure the engine is at optimal operating temperature. Turn
off the engine and pour the contents of a 500ml bottle into the METClean DPF cleaning
solution applicator. Using the included adapter, inject the cleaning solution directly into
the DPF via the pressure pipe or EGT orifice. Allow 15 minutes to soak, then run the
engine at approximately 1500 RPM for 10 minutes.

STAGE 2: Pour the 1L contents of the 2L bottle into the METClean DPF cleaning solution
applicator. With the engine running on idle, inject the fluid directly into the DPF. run
at approximately 1500 RPM for 10 mins to ensure proper atomisation. Repeat with the
remaining 1 litre.

Once the treatment is finished, take the vehicle for a 20-minute test drive, frequently
accelerating the engine beyond 3000 RPM to achieve optimal DPF cleaning.

NOTE: Fluid may leak from the exhaust pipe. To avoid stains, place a container beneath
the exhaust to capture any leakage. After processing, flush the spray applicator with
water. Dispose of any waste through a waste management company. This process
ONLY removes SOOT and OIL residues, this will not remove ash from an aged DPF for
ash removal see the METCLEAN E, S XL Series. Faults on vehicles must be fixed prior
to cleaning to ensure good results.
